Class Room Automation and Auto Energy Saver

Abstract:

Class Room Automation and Auto Energy Saver project is proposing model which shows total person in the room and save the energy usages. This project is controlled by AT89S52 micro – controller (8051 series family) which monitors the gate for entry and exit of person with help of sensors, so that it can count the person present in the room. This system always monitors the gate for counting the number of person and updates at each person enters into the room or exits from the room and displays it at the 16×2 character LCD display. Along with monitoring the number of person our project also protects waste of energy by switch OFF the lights of room if there is no one in the room.

When anybody goes outside from the room then system decreases the number of person from total number and displays updated value on LCD. When system detects that there is nobody into the room means total count equals zero then it auto switch of the room’s light or Fan by switching relay in OFF mode. Thus it also saves the Energy automatically from wasting when no one in the room. Whenever any person comes in the room then it automatically switch ON the light or Fan. This system can be applied in offices, classroom, auditorium etc for counting the person and automatically control the light and fan of the room for energy saving.
